Itinerary

Night 0 (Thursday Evening): Hanoi - Ha Giang City (-/-/-)

16:00: Depart from Hanoi to Ha Giang by Daiichi's premium sleeper bus, departing from 96 Nguyen Huu Huan.

22:00: Arrive in Ha Giang City, where you'll enjoy a complimentary stay in Daiichi's dormitory to rest and prepare for the exploration of Ha Giang the next day

If you already have your transportation to Ha Giang, you can book the tour starting from Ha Giang every Friday.

Day 1 (Friday): Ha Giang City - Tham Ma Pass - Pao’s House - Vua Meo’s Mansion - Dong Van (B/L/D)

07:00: A 16-seater minivan and guide will pick you up at the meeting point in Ha Giang City for breakfast. Afterward, embark on a tour to explore key points in the core area of the Global Geopark of Dong Van Stone Plateau. Highlights include:

• Km0: The must-visit milestone when in Ha Giang
• Bac Sum Pass: Photo opportunities and scenic views at the 8 km long pass
• Quang Ba Heaven Gate and Co Tien Twin Mountains
• Lonely Nghien Tree in Can Ty, Quang Ba
• Tham Ma Pass: A famous pass popular with visitors for its picturesque views and photo spots

Lunch: Enjoy a meal in Pho Cao, a tranquil village nestled in the highlands, before continuing the journey.

• Lung Cam Cultural Village: A historic village that served as the backdrop for renowned films like The Story of Pao, showcasing rich ethnic culture.

• Vương’s Mansion: The palace of the H'mong King, where the stories of power and heritage of the Vương family are preserved amidst the stone plateau. Explore the artistic architecture, history, and culture of the Vương family (H'mong King) and the broader H'mong community on the Stone Plateau.

Evening: Dine in the ancient town of Dong Van with the local specialty, black chicken hotpot. Afterwards, you can explore the ancient town at your leisure.

Day 2 (Saturday): Dong Van - Lung Cu - Pa Vi (B/L/D)

Morning: After breakfast at the homestay, start the day's adventure with:

• Lung Cu Flagpole: The sacred northernmost point of the country, marking the borderland that many dream of visiting. Learn about the history and construction of the flagpole, as well as the efforts to preserve the border region by the ethnic minorities in northern Vietnam.

• Lolo Chai Village: An ancient village nestled at the foot of the Lung Cu Flagpole, where the tranquil life of the Lolo people unfolds amidst breathtaking natural scenery, particularly vibrant during spring with blooming peach and plum flowers.

Noon: The group returns to Dong Van Town for lunch, then continues the journey:

Ma Pi Leng Pass: Traverse one of Vietnam's Four Great Passes, known for its majestic views. Stop at the most scenic spots along the Happiness Road for memorable photos and breathtaking vistas.

Evening: Check in at Meo Vac, enjoy a dinner featuring local highland specialties, and savor traditional corn wine of the H'mong people. Overnight stay in Meo Vac.

Day 3 (Sunday): Pa Vi - Nho Que River - Yen Minh Pine Forest - Ha Giang City (B/L/D)

Morning: Watch the sunrise at the homestay, have breakfast, and visit the H'mong community tourist village. Then, head back to Ha Giang City.

• Nho Quế River Cruise - Tu Sản Canyon: Experience a boat ride on the Nho Quế River, exploring Tu Sản Canyon, the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia.
• "Million-Dollar View" Camping Area: Stop at the famous camping spot situated amidst the Nho Quế River.

• Meo Vac Market: Explore the unique and lively cultural atmosphere of the highland ethnic market, where local traditions and vibrant activities come alive.
• KM0 Meo Vac: The endpoint of the Happiness Road, where you can learn about the history of the H'mong people and the romantic legend of Khau Vai.

Noon: Enjoy lunch in Meo Vac town before continuing the journey back to Ha Giang.

• Cua M: Admire the breathtaking winding road with twists and turns along the majestic cliffside.
• Yen Minh Pine Forest: Stop at this “mini Da Lat” for serene, picturesque views amidst the lush green highlands.

Evening: At 17:00, the group will return to Ha Giang city for dinner and rest before the bus departs. End of the tour. We look forward to seeing you again!
