Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - Mua Cave - Tam Coc (-/L/D)
07:45 AM - 08:30 AM: We pick you up at your hotel in Old Quarter, departure for Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Mua cave, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way.
10:30 AM: After arriving in Ninh Binh province, the guide takes you to visit Hoa Lu - the Ancient Royal capital of VietNam.
We will visit Dinh king temple and Le king temple, in the 10th century, finding out the heroic histories of these two Kings in the Chinese Wars.
After that, we went to Tam Coc (10 km far from Hoa Lu).
11:30 AM: The next destination is Mua Cave. Visitors trek through winding paths covered with lush greenery and beautiful bonsai-like rock formations, then conquer the 500 stone steps to the summit of Mua Mountain.
From the top, you can see the vast land of Hoa Lu with its peaceful yet majestic scenery, resembling a watercolor painting that often stirs emotions.
On the way back, you will pass through the Lotus Pond area, nestled amidst limestone mountains, creating an extremely poetic and ancient scene. Visitors can rent traditional costumes for photoshoots here.
12:30 PM: Have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch you will get on a bamboo boat – rowed by the local people – in Hoang Long river to visit Tam Coc (three caves) on the way.
You pass through three enormous caves that provide a brief respite from the intense summer sun. It takes approximately two hours to go up and down the river and along the way, you witness local fisherfolk, village life along the river and, of course, the striking limestone karst formations that Tam Coc is famous for.
6:00 PM: Check into the hotel, enjoy dinner, and spend the night in a bungalow or hotel.
Day 2: Cuc Phuong National Park - Hanoi (B/L/-)
7:30 AM: Enjoy breakfast at the resort, preparing for an exciting day of exploration.
8:00 AM: Depart for Cuc Phuong National Park, where wild nature awaits you.
9:30 AM: Arrive at the rare primate rescue center, where you'll have the chance to learn about endangered species and conservation efforts. Next, board the vehicle to visit the Ancient People’s Cave, which holds prehistoric archaeological sites.
11:00 AM: After a 15-minute drive, begin a 2-kilometer hike through the forest, immersing yourself in the lush greenery and enjoying the pristine beauty of nature.
12:00 PM: Arrive at the Thousand-Year-Old Chò Tree, a natural wonder. Rest and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring hearty, rustic mountain cuisine.
1:30 PM: Return to Hanoi, concluding a memorable day of exploration.
7:00 PM: Arrive back in Hanoi. The guide will wish you health and good fortune on behalf of the company and look forward to seeing you on future tours.
